I. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for sourcing and procuring fresh food items for both onsite and offsite operations, ensuring optimal cost efficiency and profit margins while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety. Lead product development initiatives by collaborating with suppliers and partners to introduce innovative and differentiated offerings aligned with market trends, especially Korean food culture.

II. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Development & Innovation

  • Develop new fresh food items and continuously improve existing products to meet customer needs and market trends
  • Research and identify emerging food trends, particularly Korean cuisine, to enhance product offerings
  • Collaborate with suppliers/manufacturers to co-develop exclusive or differentiated products

2. Procurement & Cost Optimization

  • Source and procure food products and raw materials from suppliers with a focus on cost efficiency and margin improvement
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve the lowest cost while maintaining quality standards
  • Monitor and optimize Gross Profit (GP) through effective sourcing strategies

3. Quality Control & Food Safety

  • Inspect and ensure all products meet required standards in quality, quantity, and grading
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including factory control

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and manage competitive bidding processes

5. Market Analysis & Planning

  • Analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and customer preferences to provide forecasts and recommendations
  • Plan budgets, forecast sales and profits, and monitor stock movement
  • Manage pricing strategies, promotions, markdowns, and inventory clearance

6. Reporting & Operations

  • Prepare reports on procurement, product performance, and market insights for management
  • Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders

7. Others

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management

III. REQUIREMENTS

Education & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related fields

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Food Service or Fresh Food Merchandising

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong creativity in product development and understanding of customer preferences
  • Good communication skills in English; willing to travel when required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet tools
  • Strong sourcing and negotiation skills to optimize costs and improve margins
  • Customer-oriented mindset with flexibility and a positive attitude
