Main Responsibilities

Procurement Management

Source and purchase grocery and daily food items from qualified suppliers.

Negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure product quality and availability.

Profit & Performance Optimization

Manage pricing, cost control, and profit margins.

Analyze sales data and market trends to drive category growth and optimize profitability.

Inventory & Quality Control
-
Monitor inventory to prevent overstock or shortage situations.
-
Implement quality control standards and ensure food hygiene and safety compliance.

Team Leadership & Development
-
Lead and mentor the MD team, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations.

Foster teamwork and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Supplier & Market Management
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

Conduct market research to understand consumer trends and competitor activities, ensuring competitive product offerings.

Compliance & Budget Control
-
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations.

Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and report financial performance.

Customer Satisfaction

Ensure consistent product quality, availability, and pricing to enhance customer experience.

Other Duties

Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.

Requirements
Education & Knowledge
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or related field.

Strong understanding of retail operations and FMCG market.
Experience
-
At least 5 years of experience in the food industry, with 4 years in FMCG or retail.

Proven track record in managing Daily Foods category or similar product groups.
Skills & Abilities

Strong merchandise planning and data analysis skills.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
