I. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Tax Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, personal income tax, and other relevant taxes).
- Monitor compliance with Vietnamese tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.
- Liaise with local tax authorities for audits, inquiries, and compliance matters.
2. Tax Planning and Advisory
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company‘s tax position while ensuring compliance.
- Provide advice on the tax implications of business decisions, contracts, and investments.
- Analyze changes in tax regulations and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate risks or capture opportunities.
3. Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and manage tax risks, ensuring that they are communicated effectively to senior management.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with tax policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for tax filings to minimize exposure during tax audits or disputes.
4. Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on tax matters.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants.
- Train and develop internal teams on tax compliance and regulatory updates.
5. Reporting and Analysis
- Provide regular reports to senior management on tax performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate tax impacts on the company’s profitability and cash flow.
- Ensure accurate tax provisioning and accounting in line with local and international financial standards.
II. REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Tax certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or a local tax certificate) is a plus.
2. Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in tax management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese tax regulations and international tax principles.
- Experience working with multinational companies or large organizations is preferred.
3. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial tools.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (both written and spoken).
4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timeliness and accuracy of tax filings.
- Compliance with all Vietnamese tax regulations.
- Effective management of tax audits with no significant penalties.
- Successful implementation of tax-saving strategies.
- Quality of tax advisory support to other departments.
